March 2026 Butter Babe: Laurie Anne Nix

When you meet Laurie Anne, you instantly feel her warmth and kindness! We met over a year ago, but only recently have gotten to know her more as she quickly jumped in to help Reney’s when we first opened our new location. She volunteered to work the front counter and gave her time, energy, and smile to our staff and customers. She is such a gift and we couldn’t help but make her a Butter Babe this year! Take a few moments to hear her heart and be encouraged!

1. What does being a Butter Babe mean to you?

To me, being a Butter Babe means being a woman who chooses kindness, encouragement, and authenticity. It’s about using whatever gifts God has given you to love people well and help them see their own value and purpose. I’m honored to be surrounded by women who radiate joy, strength, and grace in the way they live and serve others.

2. What is your life verse?

Isaiah 30:21 — “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

This verse has guided me through so many seasons of life. I’ve learned that God’s direction is often found one faithful step at a time. When I don’t know the whole plan, I can trust the One who does.

5. What is something you have overcome and how?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been walking through infertility and the uncertainty that comes with it. It’s a journey that has stretched my faith, tested my patience, and taught me to surrender things I cannot control. I’ve overcome fear and disappointment by leaning into God’s presence, surrounding myself with supportive people, and choosing hope even on the hard days. While the story is still being written, I’ve learned that God is faithful in every chapter.

7. What is a dream in your heart you are going after?

My greatest dream is to become a mother. It’s a desire that has lived in my heart for a long time, and my husband and I are currently walking through the IVF journey. Alongside that, I hope to continue using music, ministry, and storytelling to encourage others and point people toward Jesus.

12. What does being radiant look like in your everyday life?

Being radiant isn’t about appearance—it’s about reflecting the light of Christ. In everyday life, that looks like showing kindness when no one is watching, choosing gratitude over complaint, encouraging people who are struggling, and trusting God through both joyful and difficult seasons. Radiance comes from a heart that stays connected to Him.

13. What legacy do you want to leave?

I want people to remember that I loved Jesus deeply and loved people well. If my life helps someone feel seen, valued, encouraged, or closer to God, then I will consider it a life well lived. More than any accomplishment, I want my legacy to be faithfulness.

16. Share a time when you were obedient to a word from God.

Several years ago, God placed a burden on my heart to step into worship ministry. At the time, I felt unqualified and unsure of what that would look like. But I chose obedience over comfort and began serving where God opened doors. Looking back, that decision shaped so much of my life. I’ve seen people encounter God through worship, built meaningful relationships, and experienced tremendous spiritual growth. It taught me that God’s calling is rarely about our qualifications and always about our willingness.

19. How would you encourage someone today who is overwhelmed?

Take a deep breath and focus on the next faithful step instead of the entire journey. We often carry burdens that were never ours to carry. Give yourself permission to rest, ask for help, and remember that God’s grace is sufficient for today. You don’t have to have everything figured out. Sometimes faith looks like simply trusting God with the next step.
