September 2025 Butter Babe: Michele Smith

Michele is one of those people who from the moment you meet her, you feel seen and celebrated. She is intentional about cheering you on, believing in you and praying for God’s best in your life. She is a cheerleader for others and is a gift to know! Take a moment to get a glimpse into her heart and who she is!

1.What does being a Butter Babe mean to you?

Being named a Butter Babe is a huge honor for me and I literally had tears well up when

I heard the theme “She is Radiant”. God has been speaking to me so much this past

year about shining brightly just as you are, being bold with truth and changing the

trajectory of family, friendships, rooms, tables and opportunities that you have every

single day by radiating love, joy, and peace. Radiance comes from the inside and can’t

be faked but sure can be shared. Matthew 5:16 let your light so shine before others,

that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

2. What is your life verse?

I have to say it is so hard to choose one or even two verses. But these are the top

scriptures that I stand on and repeat throughout the day, as needed and some that have

helped me get through some tough times. I love that you can read them 1000 different

times and get a new revelation when you need it.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things

you do not know.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: They shall

mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and

not faint.

Luke 1:45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to

her.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit,

whom you have received as a gift from God, and that you are not your own.

3. How do you face a challenge?

Like the Buffalo, face it head on! I used to run from a challenge when I could feel

something coming. I never liked confrontation. But as I have matured and grown in my

faith, I do not shy away from a challenge now. I have learned that if you stand strong, 10

toes down and realize that challenges bring on lessons and opportunities to grow. There

is no failure, only winning or learning. It matters who you have in your circle and

friendships too. I have learned the power of death and life is in our very own tongue.

The challenge can be great or small, but I believe it truly matters what you are speaking

out about while you are facing it as well.

4. What is one piece of advice you have taken to heart?

One piece of advice that I have taken to heart, is the best weight we can ever lose is the

weight of other people’s opinions and that we can’t please everyone. I am a connector,

and I love to connect my friends to my friends but that doesn’t always mean I am for

everyone. We all have gifts, and a personality that is made for others. Find your people

and do life well together and don’t carry around the baggage of things said to you or

about you. Let it go and dance it off. Dancing sparks joy!

5. How do you start your day? And share a time when you were obedient to a word

from God?

I believe each day is a gift when you wake up with breath and how you start your day

sets the tone for the rest of the day. God specifically spoke to me about first fruits and

the first breath of each day. I wake up now excited to get to partner with Him for that

day. I speak out things I am thankful and grateful for. I focus on being intentional about

life now and not dreading anything. God gave me a word to create the Miracle Morning

routine and it was created during a time of dread, frustration and loss in my life. Being

obedient, He helped cultivate it to something powerful for women all over now that

sparks joy and energy and I am so honored to get to share it. It truly sets you up for

success and wins the day within the first 1-2 hours of being awake.

6. What is one thing that always makes me laugh?

I laugh and get so tickled to tears when I watch those funny videos of people getting

pranked or catching animals doing silly things. It’s one of the mindless things you can

just let loose and laugh about. Haha I am even smiling right now thinking about them.

7. What is one book you have read multiple times and why?

One book that I have read several times is Worthy written by Jamie Kern Lima. I got to

meet her a couple years ago and listen to her personal story about how she was a

waitress at Dennys but had a dream in her heart to do more. She created a makeup line

in her living room and started trying to sell it. For years she was talked about, put down

and told no, no and no again. She was even told that she did not have the face or look

to sell in the beauty industry. Then one day a no turned to a yes and got her on QVC.

She was an instant success as the founder of IT Cosmetics. After that, L’Oreal, the very

company that told her no and she would never make it in that industry, called to offer her

1.2 billion dollars for her line. This book is full of life-changing results to transform your

thoughts and believe that you are enough and you can do the “thing” in your heart.

8. What does being Radiant look like in your everyday life?

I believe being Radiant in everyday life starts with an attitude of gratitude and

forgiveness. These two powerful actions can set you up for so much inner peace and

joy that it will spill over on others throughout the day. A Radiant woman doesn’t

compare herself to others, she delights in the way God made her and uses her

strengths to call others higher. She doesn’t boast, brag or need to call attention to

herself but freely gives smiles, encouragement and words that lift women around her.

It’s not what she wears or how she looks but it is what shines brightly from the inside.

You know the kind, that can change the trajectory of a room just by walking in it. I

believe every woman has radiance just waiting to be called out of her, and its beautiful.
