January 2026 Butter Babe: Danielle Little

Some people you meet, you instantly know they are kind. Danielle is just such a person. Her smile is genuine and her interest in others is intentional. She is definitely radiant and fits this year’s theme for a Butter Babe! Below she answers a few questions about her life and journey so you can be inspired!

1.What does being a Butter Babe mean to you?

Being a Butter Babe means showing up as I am and letting God use the simple things in my life to bring comfort, connection, and joy to others. Just like butter makes things better, I believe kindness, faith, and hospitality can soften hearts and draw people together.

2. What is your life verse?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

3. How do you face a challenge?

I pray, even if it’s just a quiet “Lord, help me.” I remind myself that God is already in the situation, and He is already victorious. Then I take the next right step and keep doing that over and over again until I am successful.

4. What is one piece of advice you have taken to heart?

Stay teachable. Seek out mentors who exhibit the qualities you wish to develop in yourself. From there, listen, learn, and grow into the kind of person you wish to become.

5. What is something you have overcome and how?

I have been walking through a "valley" season while caring for a sick loved one, and I’ve learned how to lean on God daily as well as my close family and friends instead of trying to carry everything alone. Prayer, community, and surrender helped me find strength I didn’t know I had.

6. Who are some people that inspire you and why?

I am so fortunate to work with some amazing servant leaders. These leaders serve quietly and consistently, and even in the face of challenges and adversity, exhibit kindness and goodness. They serve our organization well and further our mission while continuously developing our team. They inspire me to be more like them for the next generation!

7. What is a dream in your heart you are going after?

My dream is to nurture a family grounded in faith, kindness, togetherness, and strong values.

8. What is one thing that always makes you laugh?

Unfiltered kids and animals — pure joy and honesty never fail to make me laugh.

9. What book have you read multiple times and why?

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers is one of those life-changing, must-read books. It simultaneously entertains you and grows you in your faith, and points to the goodness of our Creator. You will not be able to put it down! I highly recommend it to everyone.

10. What song would describe your current season in life?

"The Goodness of God" by CeCe Winans has been an anthem for me.

11. If you could have coffee with anyone from history, who would it be?

I would love to talk to C.S. Lewis. I have been re-reading his books and I am just floored at the depth of his work.

12. What does being radiant look like in your every day life?

Being radiant to me means operating in a space of joy. Joy does not mean always happy. Joy means there is a peace and purpose in one's life that inspires confidence and trust. It means putting others first, serving sacrificially, and looking out for the good of one's neighbor. I have known people that you just wanted to be in their presence, and that is radiant to me.

13. What legacy do you want to leave?

I want to leave a  legacy of faith marked by diligence, compassion, determination, and grace.

14. How do you start your day?

I start my day early with coffee, the Bible, and prayer. After that, it is time to get some movement in, and then to get to work!

15. What did you want to be when you were growing up and are you that now?

I wanted to be a dentist when I was growing up. I loved the idea of helping people, and now, I get to do that in a different way as a banker. I help people make their dreams come true, and it is an amazing career for which I am very thankful.

16. Share a time when you were obedient to a word from God

God has spoken to me about big decisions in my life so many times. He is constantly sending messages, and it is our work to discern them. Recently, I was praying one morning and asked God to lead me in a decision I needed to make. It was not an emergency, but it was a significant decision, and I just asked God to let me know what I needed to do. Later that morning after church, God sent a friend of mine and his wife to me, and he said, "Danielle, I just got a word from God for you this morning during worship, and I had to share." He proceeded to read a message the Lord had given him during the worship part of the service. It was incredible. He mentioned things that only God would know. It was an answer to my prayer, and it encouraged my faith so much, and I had an answer on what I needed to do.

17. If you got a tattoo, what would you get and why? (or if you have a tattoo now, what does it mean to you?)

If I got a tattoo, I would probably get a small cross and reference Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. It would serve as a visual reminder to myself that God always has a plan for my life.

18. What holiday is your favorite to celebrate and why?

I have been really interested in celebrating Passover as a part of the Resurrection Sunday celebration, although I have not actually done it yet. It is a goal of mine! I would love to celebrate it as it ties together the Old Testament holy day to the fulfillment in the New Testament that we celebrate on Resurrection Sunday, culminating in a beautiful display of the Gospel message in both Testaments. What a holiday!

19. How would you encourage someone today who is overwhelmed?

Be still and know that He is God. He cares deeply and you are not alone. Then read Philippians 4:6-8 and Matthew 6:25-34. You cannot NOT feel better after reading these verses!

20. How would your friends describe you? I think my friends would say I am loyal, compassionate, faith-filled, and an encourager.
